The “Duh” Pick-Ups
Tre Mason- He exploded against the Raiders last week to the tune of 3 TD’s and 164 total yards on 17 carries. He is now a must-own after he has produces this monster game after some solid play the last month of the season. His remaining schedule is up and down with Washington, Arizona, the Giants and Seahawks but I think he can still be productive in 3 out of those 4 games and is a good RB2 add if he is available in your league.
Kenny Stills, Marques Colston- They shoot up from the “other” pick-ups to the “duh” section this week after both scored and continue to play well in the absence of Brandin Cooks.
Daniel “Boom” Herron- He has totally eclipsed Trent Richardson in terms of production and now we just wait for the workload to follow suit. What made his fantasy day this week was the long TD run but he nickeled and dimed his way to a good fantasy day last week so he is also a safer option for a flex or RB desperate team.
Rams D/ST- Wrote about them last week, They were dominant last week against the Raiders. They have a great remaining schedule with Washington and then a game apiece against each team in their division, who all have their own offensive struggles.
The Other Pick-Ups
Ryan Fitzpatrick- Fitzmagic had the best day of his career Sunday with a ridiculous 389 yards and 6 touchdowns. I’m actually buying him going forward due to a generous schedule the rest of the way. He has Jacksonville twice, Baltimore’s horrendous secondary and Indianapolis, all of whom can be beat through the air.
Colt McCoy- He’s probably not going to throw up 400 yards and 3 TD’s every game but as this season has proves, Washington’s starting QB has value. His remaining schedule doesn’t scare you with the Rams and then one game apiece against the division.
Stedman Bailey- 15 targets 189 yards and a TD in his last two games and Stedman Bailey has emerged as the #1 receiver on the Rams. His next game is against Washington, who proved last week they have no idea what coverage is with guys like Coby Fleener and Donte Moncrief streaking down the field with no one 20 yards around them, so that is also in his favor if you want to roll the dice with him.
Vikings D/ST- They had a massive game last week with two blocked punts for TD’s. They have been a top 10 fantasy defense for most of they year and get a plus match-up in the Jets this week.
Matt Bryant, Dan Carpenter, Caleb Sturgis- 3 top 10 kickers that are available in leagues, I’m sure you can grab one of them for the playoffs. If you haven’t already upgraded your kicker now is the time to do so, while kicker points are unpredictable to a degree when your kicker comes up big in the playoffs it’s huge and when they get you 2-4 points and you lose by a couple points you will be “cough” kicking yourself for not getting a better kicker.
