NFL Week 7 Picks against the spread

I came down to earth a little bit last week and finished 8-6 on the week. I missed all but one of the afternoon games(and only got the Arizona pick because of a dying seconds interception return for a touchdown). That gives me a 48-42 record through the first 7 weeks of the season. I tweeted my pick for the Thursday night game, so let’s get started with Sunday.

Early Games

@Indianapolis -3 Cincinnati- I’m taking the Colts here. Andrew Luck is just playing on a whole other level right now and the Bengals defense has stumbled as of late, giving up 80 points in their two games off the bye.

@Washington-5.5 Tennessee- I’m taking the Titans. I think this line is too high and that the Titans should be able to cover against a bad Washington team that has lost 4 straight games.

@Chicago -3 Miami- I’m taking the Bears. I think they are the better team here and should beat the Dolphins, plain and simple.

Cleveland -5.5 @Jacksonville- I’m riding the red hot Browns. Jacksonville has shown nothing all year and I don’t think that changes against a tough Browns team with a strong identity in running the ball and setting up the play action.

Seattle -7 @St.Louis- I’m taking the Seahawks in a bounce back game here. I think losing Percy Harvin gives them some momentum if he really was creating disharmony in the locker room, also the Rams aren’t good

@Green Bay -7 Carolina- I’m taking the Panthers to cover, I think they are better than this high line says they are and will play Green Bay close

@Baltimore -7 Atlanta- Let the Falcons road woes continue, I’m taking the Ravens at home , where they always play strong

@Buffalo -5.5 Minnesota- I’m taking the Vikings and the points here. I don’t trust Kyle Orton laying 5.5 points in his 3rd game back to starting in the NFL

@Detroit  -2.5 New Orleans- I’m taking the Lions. The Saints haven’t been playing like themselves all season and run into one of the league’s best defenses in the Lions. Megatron or no Megatron I think the Lions beat the Saints here

Afternoon Games

@San Diego -4 Kansas City- I’m taking the Chargers, they are red hot and have been excelling in every facet of the game the so far this season with Phillip Rivers looking like the MVP so far. I also thought last week was a trap game for the Chargers as they were looking ahead to this game and Denver next week so I think they cover here

@Dallas -6.5 NY Giants- I’m taking the Giants to bounce back here, Eli Manning has usually played well against Dallas and I don’t trust the Cowboys to be as successful with a banged up offensive line. I’m taking Big Blue and the points

Arizona -3.5 @Oakland- I’m taking the Raiders here. They looked like a competent team last week and gave the Chargers a run for their money. Derek Carr continues to look like the best rookie QB of this year’s draft class. I think this is the game where Arizona’s multitude of injuries costs them

Sunday Night

@Denver -6.5 San Francisco- I always roll with Peyton Manning in prime time and will do so here. He always steps it up and plays his best with the whole country watching

Monday Night

@Pittsburgh -3.5 Houston- I’m taking the Texans here. They will have had a week and a half to prepare for this game and I think the 31-10 drubbing the Browns dropped on the Steelers says a lot about the state of this football team, they are clearly on the decline, and I think the Texans defense makes things miserable for them
